The TIP lists each transportation project to be implemented over the next five years. It is a realistic forecast of projects that have committed state or federal funds. The original FY 2025-29 TIP was adopted by the SCTPO Governing on July 11, 2024.

Public Involvement Activities

The DRAFT FY 2025-29 TIP was available for public review and comment from June 11 – July 11, 2024 (30 days) and presented to the Space Coast TPO Governing Board for adoption on July 11, 2024. To gather public input, on the DRAFT FY 2025-29 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), the SCTPO used various communications channels to inform citizens and stakeholders of the public comment period. Citizens were encouraged to review the TIP and the SCTPO provided the following avenues to make a comment: phone, direct mail, or via the public comment portal.

In-Person Outreach Methods: Fast Forward Workshop Series

Over the course of four weeks, the Space Coast TPO  hosted a series of FREE, interactive mini-workshops at multiple locations throughout the county, where community partners, citizens, and local elected officials gathered together to share their ideas of the future of transportation! Attendees had the chance to learn more about our FY 25 List of Project Priorities, which highlights prioritized projects, and FY 2025-29 Transportation Improvement Program, which outlines transportation projects to be implemented over the next five years. After the presentation, attendees had the chance to visit different learning stations where they mapped their concerns, tested their safety knowledge,  funded projects, and learned more about our future passenger rail station. The final workshop held on June 12, 2024, served as our public meeting for the DRAFT FY 2025-29 TIP.

The Annual Listing of Obligated Projects shows what actually happened with TIP project funding during the preceding fiscal year. An obligated project is one that has been authorized by the federal government and funds have been approved to be released.  The types of projects for which federal funds were obligated include transit, bicycle/pedestrian/greenways, new roadways, road widening, intersection improvements and reconstruction, interchange improvements, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), landscaping, transportation enhancements, and safety related projects.
