Families of Crash Victims to Gather for World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims

BREVARD COUNTY, FLA. – Each year on the third Sunday of November, communities across the globe observe the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims (WDoR) to honor those killed and injured on our roadways and to support their families and communities. This day is a moment to pause, remember, and recommit to safer streets for every road user: walkers, cyclists, drivers, motorcyclists and passengers.

Between 2020 and 2024,478 people were killedand2,099 were seriously injured on Brevard County roads — tragedies that ripple throughout families and neighborhoods. These are not just numbers; they represent stories cut short, families shattered, and futures stolen. As part of this international observance, the Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization (SCTPO) will host Brevard County's local event and invites community to come together for a time of reflection, remembrance, and action.
