SCTPO Seeks to Hire for Two Key Positions

BREVARD, FLA –The Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization (SCTPO) is actively seeking qualified candidates for two key positions: Community Engagement Coordinator and Transportation Planner II. These roles are essential to advancing transportation safety and mobility in Brevard County, offering the chance to work on impactful projects and initiatives. Community Engagement Coordinator

Do you have a passion for community outreach and transportation safety? The Community Engagement Coordinator will help lead public events, workshops, and presentations that promote safer roads across Brevard County.

💼 Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate traffic-safety initiatives, including Walk, Bike, Roll to School Days, Stop on Red Week, and World Day of Remembrance.
  • Build relationships with schools, local agencies, and law enforcement to promote road safety awareness.
  • Develop strategic outreach plans using data to target underrepresented communities and areas on Brevard’s High Injury Network.
  • Attend community events, safety fairs, and workshops to engage stakeholders and strengthen partnerships.
  • Create impactful social media campaigns, distribute educational materials, and develop presentations to promote traffic safety initiatives.

Transportation Planner II

Are you passionate about shaping the future of transportation in Brevard County? The Transportation Planner II will develop, manage, and oversee transportation projects that enhance mobility and improve community safety.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage transportation projects.
  • Manage the Vision Zero Program, focusing on safety improvements and data reporting.
  • Coordinate with transit agencies, municipal partners, and safety stakeholders.
  • Conduct corridor and feasibility studies, and report on performance measures.
  • Conduct research, data analysis, and needs assessments to support planning projects.
  • Oversee School Routes Analyses and support Safe Routes to School projects.
  • Prepare technical reports, maps, and presentations for various forums.
