Meaningful and effective participation is essential to the successful implementation of a public plan, project, or program, and is necessary to ensure the needs of the local citizenry are adequately addressed. There are so many ways to get involved in transportation planning! Check out some of the ways to stay connected to the SCTPO.

2025 Walk & Roll to School Day

  • Date: 10/08/2025  (all day)

 Outreach Event

Join schools across Brevard County as we celebrate Walk & Roll to School Day on Wednesday, October 8, 2025! This annual event encourages students, families, and community leaders to start the day with a healthy, active commute while promoting safe walking and bicycling practices.

By participating, you’ll help raise awareness about the importance of pedestrian and bicycle safety, reduce traffic congestion around schools, and build stronger connections between families, schools, and neighborhoods.

Whether you’re planning an organized walk from a nearby meet-up point or just high-fiving students (and parents) who skipped the car loop, there are plenty of ways to get involved. No idea is too small! But remember – you must register your school to be recognized in the national count of Bike & Roll to School Day Events. Register at https://www.walkbiketoschool.org/registration/.
