Meaningful and effective participation is essential to the successful implementation of a public plan, project, or program, and is necessary to ensure the needs of the local citizenry are adequately addressed. There are so many ways to get involved in transportation planning! Check out some of the ways to stay connected to the SCTPO.

Helmet Fit Class

Calling all traffic safety partners! The SCTPO is hosting a helmet fit certification class in coordination with Brevard County Sheriff's Office! This FREE certification class is part of FDOT's Bike Helmet Program. Space is limited. 

Led by regional trainer, Shelby Villatoro, this class will teach our community partners about the importance of proper helmet fit, with real hands-on practice. Attendees who complete this training will receive access to the Pedestrian & Bicycle Resource Center and can order FREE helmets and other resources through the state’s grant program. Space is limited and registration is required. Join us!
